I refused to accept reality when it occurred to me that I had to give up some of my favorite foods in order to maintain a certain body weight at all time for health reasons.

How could I stop taking soda, coffee, cakes, and the likes when I’m not even obese? 😩

I didn’t take heed and within 2 months, I paid the price of disobedience.

My body complained bitterly.

Since that episode, I have been very mindful of what I eat.

One thing that keeps me going is the thought of DAMAGE versus BENEFITS.

If I don’t obey, I stand a chance to harm my health. If I obey, I will reap the benefits of a healthy body system.

This story of my life also applies to your daily life.

At times, the thought of how hard it is to get something done might stop you from doing that thing. It might be giving up a bad habit or taking a decision.

But if you focus on the benefits you stand to gain from doing that thing, you will find out that it’s easier to do than you think.

Let your destination guide you in taking hard decisions or leaving old habits behind.
